Their determination to finish a long multisport race like a triathlon or SwimRun exemplifies grit and spirit. Cheerers shed tears seeing the last athlete cross the finish line. Volunteers cheer. And race directors finally exhale.

Fantastic day everyone! Thousands raised for Victoria Sexual Assault Centre, 37 young athletes finished the Island Savings Super Series, and so many new triathletes did their first race today! We’re so proud of the athletes and sponsors and community partners. Great work Rob and Human Powered Racing!
Race package pickup is complete. First heat hits the water at Esquimalt Parks and Recreation tomorrow morning at 7:30am. Tomorrow the Vic Youth Triathlon happens at UVic. Today athletes young and youngish picked up their race packages and did a briefing on the draft legal Super Series. Good luck tomorrow athletes.
