Youth race awards

HPR Youth 2018

The Human Powered Racing Youth team is entering it’s 6th season starting November 4th.  Our youth team shares a philosophy that focuses on the individual athlete in a supportive team environment.  We strive to meet the needs of our team members from successfully completing a first triathlon to racing competitively.  We have guided many new triathletes and have had several team members represent Vancouver Island at the BC Summer games.  A number of our athletes have gone on to race as juniors at the Provincial and National levels.

We believe that triathlon is an excellent sport for youth participation. Triathlon teaches commitment, dedication, focus and in our training environment; TEAMWORK. It imparts the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and lifelong fitness to benefit people throughout their lives.

Our program has a number of options including a Saturday program, after school program, and a competitive program that, for the 2017/18 season, will be focused on preparing athletes for the 2018 BC Summer Games.  All of our programs are based out of the Crystal Pool.  For more information or to register for our programs visit www.humanpoweredracing.ca/youth
