XTERRA Victoria to Become Victoria X Tri in 2026

Victoria, BC — August 11, 2025 — After more than a decade as part of the global XTERRA family, we at Human Powered Racing are excited to announce that beginning in 2026, the race will continue under a new name: Victoria X Tri.

While the name is changing, the spirit of the event remains the same. Athletes can look forward to the same incredible course at Durrance Lake, the same welcoming community vibe, and the same epic challenge that has made this event a favourite in the cross triathlon world.

“We’ve had an amazing run with XTERRA and deeply appreciate the support and recognition the brand has brought to our event over the years,” said Race Director Rob Dibden. “But as we look to the future, we’re excited to focus our energy on building the BC X Tri Series into something truly special — a grassroots, athlete-first series showcasing the best cross triathlon courses anywhere on earth, right here in beautiful British Columbia.”

Victoria X Tri will remain a key stop on the BC X Tri Series, a growing collection of off-road triathlons designed to celebrate the rugged beauty and adventurous spirit of BC’s outdoor communities.
