Big Weekend!

This weekend was a big one for Human Powered Racing. 19 athletes were racing different events around B.C. and Alberta.

Kelly Sharman/ Alex Brothers – Test of Metal

Jaylene Kemp – Chinook Half

Mike Neill/ Nancy Carleton – Victoria 70.3 Sprint

Drew Robertson/ Marcia Kirby/ David Carleton/ Richard Wey – Victoria 5150

Fawn Whiting/ Ivor John/ Graham George/ Monique Moore/ Robin Dunkley/ Heather Whittall/ Brian Strilesky/ Victoria Read/ Eileen Harper/ Rebecca Turgeon – Victoria 70.3

Special Mention goes out to Jaylene Kemp for her 3rd overall finish at the Chinook Half in Alberta, Fawn Whiting for her age group win and 2nd place overall finish at the Victoria 70.3. Marcia Kirby for winning her age group in the Olympic Distance Event and lastly to Mike Neill and Nancy Carleton for winning the Victoria Sprint events. Also a big congratulations to Monique Moore who claimed a spot to the 70.3 World Championship in Mt. Tremblant with her 5th place age group finish. Great Racing Everyone!!!!

Also, it should be noted that despite starting in different waves, couple Brian Strilesky and Heather Whittall finished 2 seconds apart in race time with Heather Whittall coming out on top in this one. This should be an epic battle at Ironman Canada.
