August 7th Wrap Up
With 3 weeks to go until a number of the Human Powered Racing team heads to Penticton for Challenge, this weekend marked one of the bigger training weeks of the year. Conditions were tough out there on Saturday for a good solid 110km ride and 10k transition run, but the team got the work done and looked good doing it.
On Sunday, 3 team members competed at the Metchosin Triathlon. This race marked a return to racing for Greg McKay who suffered a fractured pelvis in November after a bad crash on the bike. Also out there ripping it up was Tony Parks (also making a return to racing) and Ed Walsh who was racing the day after the big day of training. Congratulations Guys.
On the other side of the country Kara Hobby was racing in her first draft legal event at the Montreal Sprint event. Kara finished in 2nd spot in her age group and 9th overall running her fastest 5k ever. Well Done Kara.
