Thetis Lake
Parking for the event is available in the main parking lot of Thetis Lake Park. There is a $2.25 fee to park within the park. Parking is limited so plan to car pool if possible. Should this lot be full, there is a secondary gravel lot about 400m down the hill from the main lot.
Check-in and Race Start
Race day check in is available starting at 6:30 am. All athletes must check in at least 30 minutes prior to race start. Check in is at Race HQ adjacent to the main beach. Course information will be provided at check in.
The Full Course race starts at 7:30 am.
The Short Course race starts at 8:00 am.
The start for each race will be on the beach with a short run to the water.
Course Details
The swim courses will be marked with orange buoys. Swim entry and exit points will be marked with coloured signs and flags.
The run course is marked with coloured trail flags and arrows. Each leg is a specific colour matching the corresponding swim leg. Follow the coloured flags for each run leg. There are check points to ensure that athletes follow the route.
There are aid stations on the course but athletes should plan on being self sufficient during the event.
There will be a sweep following the event and marshals at key locations along with course. There will be check points throughout the course to ensure athletes complete the entire course.
The race course closes at 1 pm. Long course athletes must have started the final run leg by 12:15 or will be directed to return to the beach via the most direct route.
