Ironman Santa Rosa
Congratulations goes out to Human Powered Racing athletes; Diana Thaxter, Michael Campbell and Jenn Campbell.
Diana was back in Santa Rosa looking for redemption after just missing out on a Kona spot in 2018. After a strong bike and starting the run in 1st place in her age group a recent injury prevented Diana from duplicating the 3:43 marathon she ran last year. Determined as ever, she fought through and finished with a 4th place finish in her age group and yet another trip to the podium.
Michael Campbell was back for Ironman #2. As a new comer to Human Powered Racing and with a lot of discipline and hard work, Mike did not just beat his previous Ironman time, he shattered it with an improvement of 2 hours, unleashing one of the fastest marathon times in his age group and running his way up to 5th place.
Another athlete in her first year with HPR, Jenn Campbell arrived in Santa Rosa on a mission. Jenn simply dominated her age group from start to finish. Starting with the days fastest swim she never looked back and built up a lead of almost 1 hour by the time she hit the finish line. Good enough for an age group victory and a trip to the Ironman World Championship in October.
A very proud team awaits the return of these 3 stellar athletes.
