Great Cycle Challenge Canada

This past weekend I traveled over to Victoria for the annual SwimRun at Thetis Lake. Unfortunately, a blue green algae bloom the day before SwimRun Victoria last minute cancelled the swim portion of the race.

I’m super thankful that Human Powered Racing was able to cobble together a trail running course with the existing run legs to still give us a chance to compete. I raced the short course distance, and came fourth overall and was the first female!

Ordinarily I would drive or take public transit to get to a race, but this August I am raising money with the @greatcyclechallengecanada and my team #spikeandspokes to support childhood cancer research. I’ve pledged to ride 800km this month to help fundraise, and riding over to Victoria on my bike was a good opportunity to contribute towards my goal!

So far I have cycled about 250km and I am almost at half of my fundraising goal. Thank you so much to the people that have already donated, and for those of you who find yourself able to donate to the cause, the link is in my bio!

And right here!

Thank you! ☺
