Trail Run a Hidden Gem for Beginners and for Qualifying for World Championships in Oahu
If you are planning your 2018 race season and looking for a fantastic trail run this summer, look no further.
The XTERRA Victoria Trail Run takes place on July 7th at Durrance Lake. This race is a little less than 15K in the trails around Durrance Lake and the Partridge Hills. It contains a variety of terrain including steep climbs, flowing downhill single track, and flat open trails.
There is something in this race for every runner, from beginner trail runners to elite racers. There is also a relay category for those who would like to tackle the course as a team.
As part of the XTERRA race weekend, the XTERRA Victoria Trail Run has qualifying spots in each age group for the XTERRA Trail Running World Championships in Oahu. With a small field of competitors it is probably the easiest place on earth to qualify for the World Championships. Last year nearly half the field qualified!
