Running and Rolling
The training and racing season is well underway at Human Powered Racing.
With 2 races and one big training camp in the books already, many of our athletes are on their way to big things in 2019
The first two races of the Island Race Series saw a small contingent of Human Powered Racing athletes, but those that did race showed great early season form.

Vertical Camp
While athletes were toughing it out in the blustery conditions on the Island a strong enthusiastic group of riders made up of B78 and HPR athletes were venturing to warmer weather for the annual Vertical Camp in Thousand Oaks, California.
Once again, athletes were treated to dry roads and sunny sky’s. The landscape may have changed due to the recent fires, but we were lucky to arrive just as flooding had subsided and roads were re-opening. This allowed us to ride many of our favourite roads and climbs, including Piuma, Latigo, Decker and the Pacific Coast Highway.
For anyone looking to get a jump on early season fitness, this camp can not be beat. The riding and trail running is spectacular, a great swim in the CLU outdoor pool and the camaraderie of the groups makes it a really special 4 days. Be sure to put it on your calendar for 2020.
