Trek Bicycle Store Victoria

Since it’s inception in 2005, Human Powered Racing has had the great fortune of being involved with some great local business’ who believe in us as a team and support us in what we do. The Trek Bicycle Store is one that has been there since they opened their doors.

After having spent a couple of winters training in team mates garages (a big thank you to HPR Alumni, Darwyn Rowland and Greg McKay) Bill, Scottie and Troy opened their shop on Catherine Street and allowed us to take over the showroom floor on Tuesday evenings. Luckily, everything was on wheels and easily rolled away so that 20 – 30 of us could squeeze in and do a spin.

Once The Loft Spin Studio opened above the main bike shop the guys at Trek made sure we still had our space for those Tuesday evenings. We are now lucky to have other athletes join us at our regular 6pm time slot through the dark, cold and damp months. If you would ever like to spin with HPR be sure to check out the schedule.

Once Human Powered Racing started putting on races, Trek Victoria was right on board as one of the main sponsors. If you have ever done a Human Powered Racing event you will probably have had one of the great Trek mechanics check out, or even fix your bike. They also provide water bottles for all of our racers and let us take over The Loft for registration days.

Needless to say, the Trek Bicycle Store has been a large part of the triathlon and cycling world in Victoria and we would like to thank them for all they do, not only for us, but for the entire community.
